How we handle your information

Last updated: 19 October 2026

Who we are

Find Your Pro is a service that helps homeowners get quotes from pros. We are based in Southeast Manitoba and work across Canada. You can reach us at rod@people-purpose.com or (204) 921-1000.

What we collect

When you post a project, we collect:

• the details of the job: the category, your description, your timing and your budget range if you give one
• any photos and plans you upload, which can show the inside or outside of your home
• your postal code, city or town, province or territory, and type of property
• your name, email address, phone number and how you would like us to reach you

When a pro applies to join us, we collect their business name, their name, the trades they do, their service area, their years in business, whether they are insured and have workers’ compensation coverage, their phone, email and website, and anything they add in their message.

If you tap a call button on this site, we keep a small record that a call button was tapped, with the page and the time.

Like most websites, we also collect basic information about how the site is used, such as which pages are visited, and how our advertising performs. We use Google Analytics, Google Ads and Meta Pixel for this, and they may use cookies or similar technology.

Why we collect it

• to write up your project as a clear scope and send it to pros so they can quote
• to follow up on the quotes and arrange site visits when a job needs one
• to contact you about your project
• to check the pros we invite, and to keep in touch with them
• to understand how the site is used and to improve it

Who sees it

• Pros we match you with see your project details and photos, so they can quote.
• Your contact details (name, email, phone) go only to the pros you choose to talk to.
• Our service providers help us run the site, such as hosting, handling form submissions and email.
• Analytics and advertising tools receive information about how the site is used, as described above.

Photos can show more than you intend. Please leave out people’s faces and anything private that pros do not need to see to quote.

How long we keep it

We keep your information for as long as we need it for the reasons above. You can ask us to delete it sooner.

Your choices

You can ask us to show you the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. You can also withdraw your consent to us sharing your project with pros. Email rod@people-purpose.com and tell us what you would like. If you are not happy with how we handled a request, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
